At 9 o’clock, we will depart for Tay Ninh in the Northwest of Saigon where is near the Cambodian border to visit Cao Dai Temple or Great Temple or Holy See. Cao Dai is a syncretistic Vietnamese religious movement that incorporates aspect of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and even Catholicism. Here, we will have chance to see a modern architecture closely resembles Christian cathedral… There are 4 ceremonies in a day, 6AM, Noon, 6PM & midnight. We will visit NOON ceremony at 12:00, a biggest one in a day.

We can see an orchestra of 10 musicians and a choir of 20 youths lead the service in prayer and hymns. The hymns sound western, but the accompanying music is traditional Vietnamese. We can take photos, and we are also asked for trousers, skirts covering the knees; remove shoes before entering and remain quiet as possible during the ceremony.

After a half of hour ceremony, we will be back to our vehicle to transfer to the local restaurant for our lunch. After lunch, we will transfer to Cu Chi Tunnel where is located in the Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh city. The tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous guerrilla fighters.

Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed; then we will have an exploration of the maze of tunnels. We will visit the safe part of the tunnel system which may be made larger and lightening. Above-ground attractions include caged monkeys, vendor selling souvenir, and a shooting range where we can fire a number of assault rifle, such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60. We will be back Ho Chi Minh city at around 18:00.

Morning start from hotel at 8 AM, leaving Ho Chi Minh City, travels to Cai Be, we drive for about 2,5 hours. Vivid farming activities and the riverine life of the Mekong Delta can be seen en route. Take a boat trip from Cai Be along the mighty Mekong River and its tributaries to view the riverine of local people who work and play on the waterways of the Mekong Delta. It would be a miss if we do not visit floating market at Cai Be, and a family-run workshop making popcorn, pop-rice and rice paper. A taste of these local products with green tea brings us a great feeling in tropical weather. Lunch will be set up in a local house that located on an island, which is fertile place for different fruits and trees. After lunch, taking a short nap on a hammock under the shady garden or we also can do cycling along the village paths to enjoy the beautiful of country side.. Lastly, the cruise will transfer us to Vinh Long city where we take our vehicle to Can Tho – the heart of Mekong Delta. Overnight in Can Tho.

After breakfast this morning, we will take the morning boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market with the busy sense right at the time. Then we keep on cruising through the small channels system, visit the rice noodles making village. We then leave the Mekong Delta for Ho Chi Minh city.
